How Highground works

From global data to actionable intelligence.

Seven stages take a report from the moment it is published to a verified incident, an informed audience and a closed record — with people deciding at every point that matters.

Stage 1

Collect

Highground monitors configured sources.

Validated news feeds, authoritative hazard, health, aviation and government feeds, and approved public channels are polled continuously. New items appear in the Live Monitor — in an engineering test, a median of 44 seconds after publication.

Stage 2

Analyze

Collected information is normalized, correlated and assessed.

Items are normalized, matched against search rules, grouped with similar reports and given freshness cues — posted time and event time — so analysts see what is new and what is already known.

Stage 3

Verify

Analysts evaluate evidence, location and relevance.

From a card, an analyst opens the incident editor: facts, category, severity, the exact location with evidence, and a duplicate check against existing incidents.

Stage 4

Publish

Qualified incidents enter the Global Risk Map through authorized workflows.

A senior analyst independently approves new incidents and every change to a published one. Urgent reviews escalate on a timer. Only approved authoritative sources may publish automatically.

Stage 5

Assess

Highground identifies potentially affected customer assets.

Each incident area is checked against your sites, employees by assigned worksite or home, and travelers at their approved-trip lodging.

Stage 6

Communicate

Authorized operators prepare and send relevant communications.

The composer pre-fills audience and message. A second person approves and a person sends — never automation. Delivery is simulated in the current build.

Stage 7

Monitor

Incidents are updated, reviewed, resolved and retained according to policy.

Ongoing incidents follow a review cycle; responses and follow-ups are tracked; shifts hand over in the Command Center. Resolved incidents leave the active map and stay searchable.

People decide. Automation collects, correlates, pre-fills and reminds. Publishing analyst work needs a second person; every external message is sent by a person with the applicable approval.
